Kagamiga Naru - Kagamiga Naru

Japanese: 鏡ヶ成 - かがみがなる

This plateau is located in Kofu Town, Hino County, in the western part of Tottori Prefecture. It lies between Mt. Karasugayama and Mt. Giboshu, southeast of Mt. Daisen, and extends at an altitude of 850 to 1000 m. It was formed of volcanic ejecta such as andesite breccia, sand, and volcanic ash, and the surface is covered with black soil, but some parts are made of marsh deposits. Grasslands and beech forests spread over a wide area, and some parts are used as pastures and fields for growing radishes. It is connected to the Yonago area by the Daisen Ring Road (opened in 1962), and to the east it connects to Sekigane Onsen via Arakoya Pass and Sasaganaru, and it is also easily accessible to the Hiruzen Daisen Highway in Okayama Prefecture via the Hiruzen-Daisen Road (opened in 1970).

鳥取県西部，日野郡江府町にある高原。大山（だいせん）南東の烏ヶ山と擬宝珠（ぎぼし）山の間，標高850～1000mに広がる。安山岩の角礫（かくれき）や砂，火山灰などの火山噴出物で形成され，表層は黒ボク土におおわれるが，一部は湿原堆積物からなる。草原とブナ林が広範囲に広がり，一部は牧場や高原大根の畑地となっている。大山環状道路(1962開通)で米子方面とつながり，東は新小屋峠，笹ヶ平（ささがなる）を経て関金温泉に連絡，また蒜山（ひるぜん）大山道路(1970開通)で岡山県の蒜山高原に出る便もよい。
