The common name for the Omura Immigration Center, an immigration detention facility under the jurisdiction of the Immigration Bureau of the Ministry of Justice. It is located in Omura City, Nagasaki Prefecture. Previously, it was a facility that mainly temporarily housed people forcibly deported from Japan to Korea and was called the Omura Immigration Detention Facility, but was renamed in December 1993. Its predecessor was the former Sasebo Repatriation Assistance Bureau Hario Detention Facility, which was reorganized as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hario Immigration Detention Facility under the jurisdiction of the Immigration Services Agency established in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 1, 1950. At the end of the same year, it was renovated and relocated to the former Naval Air Arsenal main building in Omura, becoming the Omura Immigration Detention Facility.
