European wild goat

...It is said that the wool-producing Angora and Cashmere breeds were born from this, but many others are also derived from crosses with the Bezoar. (3) European wild goat ( C. prisca ) Although now extinct, this goat was native to the plains of northern Spain and southern France, and was domesticated in southeastern Europe. It is thought to be the ancestor of the spiral-horned goats seen in Europe today. In addition to these, there are two other wild goat species that are not related to domestic goats but belong to the Capra genus.
