Japanese: bulbar palsy(英語表記)bulbarpalsy
bulbar palsy

…Voluntary movements of these cranial nerve regions are also controlled by the upper motor neurons of the cerebral cortex, so when these are damaged, motor paralysis of the cranial nerve regions also occurs, which is called supranuclear cranial nerve palsy. When the lower cranial nerves, such as the trigeminal, facial, vagus, and hypoglossal nerves, are widely affected, causing paralysis of voice, speech, swallowing, chewing, and facial expression, it is called bulbar palsy, and when similar symptoms are caused by damage to the upper motor neurons, it is called pseudobulbar palsy.
[Paralysis of the trunk and limbs]
Paralysis of the trunk and limbs is further classified into several types depending on the distribution of affected muscles.
