〘Noun〙 A type of Banko ware. It was started by Numanami Gozaemon Rozan, who started Banko ware in Kuwana, Ise Province (Mie Prefecture), at his villa in Koume, Edo, around the Horeki era ( 1751-1764 ). It flourished during the An'ei and Tenmei eras ( 1772-1789 ) and is known for its unique red-glazed ware. 〘名〙 万古焼の一種。伊勢国(三重県)桑名で万古焼を始めた沼波五左衛門弄山が、江戸小梅にあった別邸で、宝暦(一七五一‐六四)頃始めたもの。安永・天明(一七七二‐八九)頃に栄え、独特の赤絵で知られている。
