A conference of the Reformed Church held in Emden (now Germany) in the County of East Frisia in 1571. In East Frisia, the Reformation had been established by Johannes à Lasco (Jan Łaski, 1499-1560) since 1543, with the support of Countess Anna, who was the ruler of the region, and the region had been accepting refugees from the Netherlands and France.
