A secret society that sought freedom, liberation, and independence for Greece, founded in Odessa, Russia in 1814. Its official name in Greek was Filiki Eteria (meaning Society of Friends). Odessa was the largest settlement of Greeks who had emigrated under the rule of the Ottoman Empire, and the society was stimulated by the trend of liberalism and nationalism after the French Revolution, and spread to the Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts and Greece. It was the catalyst for the Greek War of Liberation.

ギリシアの自由と解放と独立をめざした秘密結社で，1814年ロシアのオデッサで結成された。正称はギリシア語でフィリキ・エテリア（友人協会の意）。オスマン帝国支配のもとで移住したギリシア人の最大の集住地がオデッサで，この結社はフランス革命後の自由主義・民族主義の風潮に刺激され，地中海・黒海沿岸・ギリシアに拡大。ギリシア解放戦争のきっかけを作った。
