Rakuichirei - Rakuichirei

Japanese: 楽市令 - らくいちれい

These were laws issued mainly in the second half of the 16th century by sengoku daimyo and the Toyotomi government to local markets and newly established castle towns. Rakuichi decrees can be broadly divided into two types. The first type was a type of guaranteed-type Rakuichi decree that guaranteed the function of Rakuichi markets to already existing local markets that appeared in the 15th and 16th centuries, such as temple towns. Examples of this type of Rakuichi decree include the Rakuichi decree for Kano in Mino in 1567 by Oda Nobunaga, the Rakuichi decree for Kanamori in Omi in 1572, and the Rakuichi decree for Ogino in Sagami in 1585 by the Later Hojo clan.

主として16世紀後半，戦国大名および織豊政権が，地方市場，新設の城下町に出した法令。楽市令は大別して次の2種に分けられる。ひとつは，15,16世紀に新しく登場した地方市場で，寺内町（じないちよう）に代表されるような，すでに，楽市場として存在していた市場に，その楽市の機能を保証した，いわば保証型楽市令である。この型に属する楽市令としては，織田信長の永禄10年(1567)美濃加納あて楽市令，元亀3年(1572)近江金森あて楽市令，後北条氏の天正13年(1585)相模荻野あて楽市令などがある。
