Aerated Concrete - Kiho Concrete

Also known as cellular concrete. Concrete that has been hardened with a large amount of bubbles. When applied on-site, a surfactant is added to the concrete to create bubbles, or a small amount of aluminum powder is mixed in to generate hydrogen. Aerated concrete blocks and steel-reinforced panel materials are made by autoclaving, and are called autoclaved aerated concrete. It is used as a building material for houses and other buildings.

泡コンクリートともいう．多量の泡を含ませて硬化させたコンクリート．現場施工の場合は界面活性剤を加えて泡立てるか，少量のアルミニウム粉末を混入して水素を発生させる．気泡コンクリートのブロックおよび鉄筋で補強したパネル材が，オートクレーブ処理によりつくられており，オートクレーブ処理気泡コンクリートとよばれている．住宅などの建材として用いられる．
