Acanthochiton defilippii (hairy turtle shell)
A mollusc of the Polyplacophora family, Chitonidae, with a row of spines on its back. The body is oval, 4.8 cm long and 3.7 cm wide, with a weak bulge on the back, and eight slightly small shells lined up in a pile in the center of the back. The six middle shells are blackish, narrow at the front, triangular in shape, and have a pair of pale yellow stripes running front to back. The other parts, called the flesh belt, are blackish and densely covered with small spines all over, but there are nine sharp spine bundles running parallel to each other on the left and right sides of the shell.
