A collection of essays compiled by Hong Mai (1123-1202) of the Southern Song Dynasty in China. From "Zuihi" to "Wubi," the collection consists of 5 collections and 74 volumes. The author wrote down the knowledge he gained from his daily reading, and when he had accumulated these, he compiled them into a single volume, which is what this work is. The contents cover a wide range of subjects, including history, literature, philosophy, and art, but it is particularly detailed in its research into historical facts, political, social, and economic systems from the previous and Song dynasties, and its critiques of historical figures. 中国，南宋の洪邁（こうまい）(1123‐1202)撰の随筆集。〈随筆〉から〈五筆〉まであわせて5集74巻からなる。撰者が日ごろ読書して得た知見をそのつど筆記し，それがたまると一書にまとめていったものが本書である。内容は歴史，文学，哲学，芸術など多方面にわたるが，なかでも前代および宋代の歴史事実や政治･社会経済制度に関する考証，歴史人物に対する評論などに詳しい。宋代の代表的な随筆の一つである。【竺沙雅章】
