Born: October 11, 1782 in Bium [Died] March 26, 1848. Sventruv Danish romantic poet and novelist. While working as a pastor in Jylland, he roamed the moors and wrote short stories based on interviews with poor peasants, becoming the father of the Danish novel. His representative works include Digte (1814), a collection of poems, En Landsdydegns Dagbog (24), a short story Fragments from the Diary of a Village Pastor, and Røverstuen (27), a den of thieves.
