A culture from the late 5th millennium BC to the middle of the 4th millennium BC based on the 14th to 6th floors (Uruk period) of the Eanna district of Uruk, the largest city ruins of the Sumerian civilization in southern Mesopotamia. Characterized by the prevalence of red and gray polished pottery, wheel-thrown inscribed and uninscribed pottery, metal products such as weapons and containers, and the appearance of cylindrical seals.
