A town in Ashigarakami County, Kanagawa Prefecture, bordering the northeast of Odawara City. It is located in the western part of the Oiso Hills. Horticultural crops such as fruit trees and vegetables have been cultivated here since ancient times. Dairy farming is also practiced. Since the opening of the Hadano-Nakai Interchange on the Tomei Expressway, the rural form of the town has been changing to an urban one. 19.99 km2 . 10,010 people (2010). 神奈川県足柄上(あしがらかみ)郡，小田原市の北東に接する町。大磯丘陵の西部に位置する。古くから果樹や蔬菜などの園芸作物の栽培が盛ん。酪農も行う。東名高速道路秦野中井インターチェンジ開設後，農村形態は都市型へと変貌しつつある。19.99km2。１万10人（2010）。
