A town in Ashigarakami County, Kanagawa Prefecture, bordering the northeast of Odawara City. It is located in the western part of the Oiso Hills. Horticultural crops such as fruit trees and vegetables have been cultivated here since ancient times. Dairy farming is also practiced. Since the opening of the Hadano-Nakai Interchange on the Tomei Expressway, the rural form of the town has been changing to an urban one. 19.99 km2 . 10,010 people (2010).
