A fertilizer formed from organic components, it refers to plant and animal fertilizers. In addition to the three elements of fertilizer (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium), it contains organic matter. (1) It supplies fertilizer nutrients and gradually becomes soluble through chemical action, increasing the fertilizer effect, (2) improves the physicochemical properties of the soil, (3) increases the soil's water retention and absorption capacity, and (4) increases the proliferation of soil bacteria. A typical example is stable manure. Currently, the proportion of inorganic fertilizers is overwhelmingly high, and organic fertilizers are steadily decreasing, leading to calls for a return to organic farming.
