Mount Harinoki - Mount Harinoki

Japanese: 針ノ木岳 - はりノきだけ

It is the southernmost mountain in the Hida Mountain Range, on the border between Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture and Tateyama Town, Toyama Prefecture. Its elevation is 2,821m. Its name comes from its pyramidal shape. The eastern slope is carved with a deep valley by the Kago River, a tributary of the Takase River, and contains the Harinoki Snowfield, said to be one of Japan's three major snowfields. From the summit, one can see the Tateyama Mountain Range before one's eyes and Lake Kurobe below. Harinoki Pass is located southeast of the summit. It belongs to Chubu Sangaku National Park.

長野県大町市と富山県立山町との境，飛騨山脈の後立山連峰の最南端山。標高 2821m。ピラミッド形の山容が名称の由来。東斜面は高瀬川の支流籠川が深い谷を刻み，日本三大雪渓の1つといわれる針ノ木雪渓がある。山頂からは眼前に立山連峰，眼下に黒部湖を展望できる。山頂南東方に針ノ木峠がある。中部山岳国立公園に属する。
