A protector-protected relationship that is like a parent-child relationship. In the vassals of the Sengoku daimyo, Yorioya was also called Shinan or Sosha, and Yoriko was also called Yoriki (Yoriki) or Doshin. The Japanese translation, the Japanese-Portuguese Dictionary, defines Yorioya as "a person on whom someone relies and depends in the household of a certain lord or elsewhere," and Yoriko as "a person who relies on another and is under his protection, or a person under the control of another," and although the relationship differed depending on the era, it is essentially a protector-protected relationship based on a private contract between the two.
