Miyano-so

Japanese: 宮野荘 - みやののしょう

A manor in Yoshiki District, Suo Province (present Miyano, Yamaguchi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture). Originally located in front of the Suo Sannomiya Nikkabe Shrine, it was part of the imperial domain. During the reconstruction of Todaiji Temple in the early Kamakura period, Suo Province became a land for construction fees, and the imperial domain came under the control of Shunjobo Chogen, the chief monk of the Todaiji Temple. Chogen bestowed the land on Chin Wakei, a Song manor who assisted him, and when Chin Wakei donated the land to Todaiji Temple in 1195 (Kenkyu 6), Chogen applied to the Imperial Court to have it certified as temple land, Miyano Manor. The manor had a total of 172 cho, including 118 cho 5 tan of rice paddies and 53 cho 5 tan of wilderness, and 31 u of lay people. The annual rice tax of 105 koku 5 to and two-day meal fees were paid to the temple before April, and were allocated to the sutra offerings of the 50 student attendants.

周防国吉敷郡(現，山口県山口市宮野)の荘園。元来周防三宮仁壁神社神前の地で公領に属した。鎌倉時代初期の東大寺再建にあたり，周防国は造営料国となり，公領は大勧進職俊乗坊重源の支配下に入った。重源は彼を補佐した宋人陳和卿（ちんなけい）に当地を給し，さらに陳和卿より1195年(建久6)東大寺に寄進されるに及び，重源は朝廷に申請して当地を寺領宮野荘として立券した。当荘は田畠118町5段，荒野53町5段，計172町，在家31宇の規模をもち，所当年貢米105石5斗と二ヶ日饗膳料は4月以前に寺納され，五十口学生供衆の講経供料に配分された。
