Wolf-Rayèt star

A type of O-type star with a blue-white spectrum, with many emission lines due to ionized helium, carbon, nitrogen, etc. Named after its discoverer. All of its emission lines are very broad, which is thought to be due to the rapid expansion and rotation of the hot gas surrounding the star. 青白色のスペクトルを示すO型恒星の一種で，電離したヘリウム，炭素，窒素などによる多くの輝線がスペクトル中に見られるもの。発見者にちなんで命名。その輝線はすべて非常に幅が広く，これは星の外を取巻く高温ガスの急激な膨張と自転のためだと考えられている。
