[Born] about 1575. Nancy? [Died] 1616 French painter and printmaker. His works are known to have been produced in Nancy between 1602 and 1616. At the behest of Charles, Duke of Lorraine, he began producing murals based on Roman history for the "Deer Room" of the duke's mansion (no longer standing). After completing these in 1611, he also worked on the "Galerie Nouve". In the 20th century, he began to attract attention due to the large number of drawings and prints that are now preserved (Louvre Museum Prints Room, Albert Museum of Prints in Vienna, Hermitage Museum).
