A classification of Noh. It is the opposite of "Geki-Noh". There are many types of Noh, such as "Kagetsu", in which a beautiful young man performs a variety of arts, including short songs, kusemai (a traditional Japanese dance), and katsuko (a traditional Japanese drum), "Tsuchigumo", in which a warrior defeats a demon, and "Tsuchigumo", which focuses on the dance of heavenly beings. Feather robe It refers to Noh plays such as "Senbetsu no Hakusho" (The Tale of Genji), which focuses on visual entertainment and flashy movements on stage rather than depicting human psychology or conflict, and in a broader sense also includes waki-noh (plays in which divine spirits bestow blessings). Among these, Kanze Nobumitsu's "Tamanoi," "Ryōko," and "Atago Kuya," Konparu Zenpō's "Arashiyama" and "Ikaku Sennin," and Kanze Chotoshi's "Enoshima" and "Rinzō" feature magnificently costumed gods, Buddhas, heavenly immortals, and dragon gods appearing one after another on stage, utilizing large-scale props, and the interludes (pauses) are lively and ingenious, such as the "shellfish" in "Tamanoi," the "monkey bride" in "Arashiyama," and the "dosha" in "Enoshima" (however, today these intervals are only performed on special occasions), and the whole play is unified as a spectacular pageant show.
