Dictyonema morrei (Nyl.) Henss.

Japanese: フランネルゴケ(英語表記)Dictyonema morrei (Nyl.) Henss.
Dictyonema morrei (Nyl.) Henss.
A basidiomycete lichen of the Dictyonema family that grows in warm regions south of the Kanto region. It lives symbiotically with the blue-green alga Scytonema to produce deep green, fuzzy lichen bodies that spread over rocks and mosses, but do not form obvious lobes. It forms a white fruiting layer on the underside of the lichen bodies and produces basidiospores. There are two species of the Dictyonema genus known to be native to Japan, and D. sericeum (Sv.) Berk. looks like a blanket laid out in a semicircle. [Kashiwatani Hiroyuki]
