Ligidium japonicum (English name) Ligidiumjaponicum

The small, closely related Ligidium japonicum , commonly found throughout Japan, looks very similar to the Ligidium at first glance, but its body length is small, about 4 to 7 mm. Its distribution extends from the coast to mountainous areas far away, and it lives in humid places such as under dead leaves in forests in various places. It is easily distinguished from the Ligidium japonicum by the fact that its second antennae are short and only reach the third thoracic segment when bent backwards, the basal segment of the apical limbs is much shorter than the inner and outer limbs, and the inner limbs are longer than the outer limbs.
