A world-famous German high-quality newspaper published in Frankfurt am Main. It was founded in 1949 by members of the high-quality newspaper "Frankfurter Zeitung," which was founded in 1856 and closed by Hitler in 1943, as a newspaper to carry on the traditions of the former newspaper. It is now considered the most prestigious and influential newspaper in Germany. It does not use any photographs on the front page, and some of the headlines use old German characters called "turtle-eye script," creating a heavy-looking page.

ドイツの世界的高級紙。フランクフルト･アム･マインで発行。1856年に創刊され，ヒトラーにより1943年に廃刊された高級紙《フランクフルター･ツァイトゥング》のメンバーが，同紙の伝統を引き継ぐ新聞として，49年に創刊したもの。現在，ドイツで最も権威が高く，影響力の強い新聞として評価されている。一面には写真をまったく使わず，見出しの一部には〈かめのこ文字〉と呼ばれる古いドイツ文字を用い，重厚な紙面を作っている。
