Secret Strategy - Hifuryaku

A collection of documents from the early Heian period. 1000 volumes. Compiled by Shigeno Sadanushi. Finished in 831 (Tencho 8). By order of Emperor Junna, Sadanushi, together with various Confucian scholars, collected documents from ancient times to the present, and listed the phrases and sections of the documents that corresponded to each category. It was an unprecedentedly large work, the likes of which were not seen in China at the time. Two volumes remain: Volume 864 "Hyakukokubu" (Part 2 on Grains) and Volume 868 "Fuhakubu" (Part 3 on Fabrics). The number of documents cited gives an idea of ​​the grandeur of the whole work, and it is a valuable resource for learning about imported documents and vestigial writings of the time, and shows the academic level of the time. 平安初期の類書。1000巻。滋野貞主(しげののさだぬし)撰(せん)。831年（天長8）成立。淳和(じゅんな)天皇の勅により貞主が諸儒とともに古今の文書を集め、品目によって文献の該当する句や節を列挙したもの。空前の大著で当時中国でも例をみない。巻864「百穀部」中と巻868「布帛(ふはく)部」3の2巻が現存する。引用された文献の数から推して全貌(ぜんぼう)の壮大さが推量され、当時の渡来書目および逸文を知るうえで貴重な資料であり、当時の学問的水準が知られる。『続群書類従』雑部所収。
