Abbreviation for base air defense ground environment. It was the name of the air defense warning and control system GPA-73 that the U.S. Air Force had GE develop for its overseas bases, but in Japan it refers to an automated warning and control system that the Japan Air Self-Defense Force renovated by adding automated equipment to the existing nationwide radar site network, and began full-scale operation in 1969. From 1983, it was updated to the "New Badge" as part of a five-year plan. Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
