[1] 〘Noun〙① ("Ryo" means tolerance, i.e. the quality of accepting people) A tolerance as large and broad as the sea. ※Yomihon Eisoushi (1749), vol. 5 "I pray that you will allow the butler to be generous with his sake ."② A person who likes sake and can drink a lot . A drinker. A heavy drinker. ※Tsukusoku Akanawa Kien (1761), vol. 3 "Since Nine Mothers are originally generous with sake , I will drink with them and accompany them."[2] A Shinshu monk in the mid-Edo period. A poet. A native of Omi. He studied under Kamo no Mabuchi and contributed to the development of the domain's academic system in the Hikone domain. Written works such as "Ichiyaka" and "Kokui Koben". 1733-1817 ( 1733-1817 )
