Dramaturgy

A general term for theories about the essence and methods of drama. It includes everything from playwriting and drama structure to directing and drama criticism. Aristotle's Poetics is the oldest and remains the standard to this day. Since then, there have been theories on drama by Diderot, Lessing, Freytag, and others, but in modern times, there have been attempts to go beyond mere drama theory and grasp the human worldview from dramaturgy, such as G. 演劇の本質や方法に関する理論の総称。劇作術，戯曲構造論から演出論，演劇評論までを含む。アリストテレスの《詩学》が最も古く，今日に至るまで規範化されている。以後，ディドロ，レッシング，フライタークなどの演劇論があるが，現代ではG.スタイナーの悲劇論など，単なる演劇論の枠を超え，ドラマトゥルギーから人間の世界観を捉える試みがなされている。
