This monument is inscribed with the details of the alliance that took place between the Tang and Tibet (Tuba) in 821-822. It is said to have been erected in the capitals and borders of both countries, but the only one that remains is in front of the garden of the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa. In addition to being inscribed with Chinese characters that partially correspond to the Tibetan text, and the names of the responsible people of both countries are listed, it is valued not only as a linguistic resource, but also as a basic historical source for the history of relations between the two countries, especially the history of ancient Tibet. In addition to showing that monks occupied the top positions in the Tibetan government at the time and clarifying the composition of the ministers, it also shows that Princess Wencheng of the Tang, who married the King of Tibet, entered the country in the 14th year of the Zhenguan era (640), that one of the princesses gave birth to a prince, and that the two countries had an equal relationship and the border was set at Qingshui County (Gansu Province). 821~822年に唐とチベット(吐蕃(とばん))の間に行われた会盟の内容を刻んだ碑。
