Tectonite (English spelling)

Japanese: テクトナイト（英語表記）tectonite

A metamorphic rock formed by mechanical metamorphism involved in mountain building. A general term for phyllite, blastomilonite, etc. Backlund uses the term to mean blastomilonite [Backlund: 1918, Watanabe (ed.): 1935]. A tectonite is a rock that is formed when it is solid and the orientation of the minerals and the arrangement of the structural elements show the nature of deformation when the rock is flowed and deformed. A regional metamorphic rock with a schistosity structure. It can also be classified into primary tectonite, which means the flow structure of igneous rock, secondary tectonite, which means metamorphic rock, and pseudotectonite, where existing structures affect recrystallization [Sander: 1948, Fairbairn, et al .: 1949, Katayama et al. (ed.): 1970].

造山運動に関与して機械的変成作用を受けて形成された変成岩．千枚岩やブラストミロナイトなどを総括した名称．バックルンドはブラストミロナイトの意味で使用している［Backlund : 1918, 渡辺編 : 1935］．岩石が固体のまま流動変形した時に，鉱物の配列方向や構造要素の配列に変形の性質が現れている場合にテクトナイトという．片状構造を持つ広域変成岩．火成岩の流理構造を意味する初生テクトナイト，変成岩を示す二次テクトナイト，既存の構造が再結晶に影響を与える擬テクトナイトなどに分類されることもある［Sander : 1948, Fairbairn, et al. : 1949, 片山ほか編 : 1970］．
