…However, by the time of Enyo (?-1758), there had been considerable differences between the style and that of Kenjun and Genjo. On the other hand, in 1739 (Genbun 4), Saga feudal samurai Murashima Masamichi (1702?-43?) came to Edo and popularized it in Edo, calling it Chinzei-gaku or Tsukushi-ryu. His disciples included Inozaki Ritsusai, known as the Momijiyama musician, and from his lineage came Tsuzuki Keiichi, who published the Tsukushi-ryu Koto Songbook (1821). Masamichi's lineage in Saga also worked to absorb other lines and revive the Tsukushi-goto, and Imaizumi Chiharu (1775-1836) compiled the tradition up to that point and wrote works such as Shokyokaku Koto-wa. …
