Mud analysis logging

Well logging involves extracting oil and gas from the mud and drilling cuttings that circulate from the bottom of the well to the surface, measuring their chemical composition and quantity, and estimating the amount of hydrocarbons in the formation. Gas is usually measured using a Wheatstone bridge, which measures the change in heat generated by the catalytic reaction between the gas and platinum electrodes. 坑井の掘削中に，坑底から地表に循環する泥水や掘り屑中の油やガスを抽出し，その化学成分および量を測定して，地層中の炭化水素の含有量を推定する検層。ガスの測定には普通ホイートストン・ブリッジを用い，ガスと白金電極の触媒作用による発熱の変化を測定する。
