Born in 1890. Adopted son of Hattori Inseki. In 1824, he took the name Inoue Inseki, the 11th. In 1828, he became a quasi-meijin (8th dan). He competed with the 12th Honinbo, Jouwa. In 1830, he competed with the successor to Honinbo, Hidewa, but was defeated and was not given the title of Meijin. He died in 1858, aged 62. His real surname was Hashimoto.
