Impoverishment theory debate

The theory that the development of a capitalist economy inevitably leads to the impoverishment of the working class. Although it is not a term used by K. Marx, the content of this theory is an aspect of his theory, and it has been considered to be an important argument for the movement to abolish capitalism and realize socialism through the unity of the working class.

For example, in The Communist Manifesto, co-authored with Engels, he had already stated the following: Modern bourgeois society, which arose from the decline of feudal society, has reduced various lower middle classes to the proletariat, and increasingly simplified the class conflicts in all society into two great classes: the bourgeoisie and the proletariat.
