Chugaisho - Chugaisho

Japanese: 中外抄 - ちゅうがいしょう

This is a record of the conversations of Fujiwara Tadazane, the regent of Chisokuin, from 1137 to 1154, written by Daigeki Nakahara Michimoto. It is in two volumes and is written in a mixture of kanji and kana, and contains information on court customs and people. It was quoted extensively in Kojidan and Zoku Kojidan, and had a great influence on later collections of tales. In addition, Fukego, a record of Tadazane's conversations written by Takashina Nakayuki, is a successor to this book.

1137年より1154年に至る知足院関白藤原忠実の談話を大外記(だいげき)中原師元が筆録した聞書。２巻。有職故実や人物に関する事柄などを漢字仮名交り文で記す。《古事談》《続古事談》に多く引用され，後代の説話集に大きな影響を与えた。また，忠実の談話を高階仲行が筆録した《富家語(ふけご)》は本書の後を引き継いだ形となっている。
