Stick insect - Oninanafushi

...It usually lives on the sandy and muddy bottoms of Honshu at depths of about 20 to 250 meters. The deep-sea stick insect Arcturus crassispinis , a member of the family Phasmidae, is about 4 cm long. It is brown or dark brown in color, elongated and cylindrical, curved dorsally, and has a long second antenna that is longer than the body length.
