Kakatiya Dynasty - Kakatiya

Japanese: カーカティーヤ朝 - かーかてぃーやちょう（英語表記）Kākatīya

A medieval Hindu dynasty in southern India. 1100-1323. Initially subordinate to the Chalukya dynasty, it ruled over a region of Telangana, but in the first half of the 12th century, under Parola II, it gained independence and expanded its power by taking advantage of the decline of the Chalukya dynasty. The dynasty reached its zenith during the long reign of Ganapati (1199-1261), who built a fort at Warangal and made it his capital. During the period of turmoil following the fall of the Chola and Chalukya dynasties, the dynasty expanded its territory, mainly in the Andhra region, competing with the Yadava, Hoysala, and Pandya dynasties.

南インドの中世ヒンドゥー王朝。1100ころ‐1323年。はじめチャールキヤ朝に従属してテーリンガーナーの一地域を領したが，12世紀前半，パロラ2世のとき独立し，チャールキヤ朝の衰退に乗じて勢力を広げた。13世紀，ガナパティGanapati(在位1199‐1261)の長い治世は王朝の最盛期で，ワランガルに城塞を築いて都とし，チョーラ，チャールキヤ両王朝の滅亡による混乱期に，ヤーダバ，ホイサラ，パーンディヤなどの諸王朝と争って，アーンドラ地方を中心として領土を拡大した。
