Crowned willow warbler (Sendai Mushikui)

Japanese: センダイムシクイ(仙台虫喰) - センダイムシクイ(英語表記)crowned willow warbler
Crowned willow warbler (Sendai Mushikui)
A passerine bird of the flycatcher family (illustration). Total length is about 13 cm. Sexes are the same color. The upper side is dark green, the underside is dirty white, and there is a clear yellowish-white eyebrow. There is a light-colored median line on the head, which makes it easy to distinguish from other warblers. It breeds in northeastern Asia and migrates to southern China and Southeast Asia in autumn and winter. It arrives in Japan as a summer bird in April and May, and breeds mainly in deciduous broadleaf forests below 1,200 meters from Hokkaido to Kyushu. It constantly moves actively between the branches and leaves of trees, catching and eating insects and spiders.
