Confession - Koumon
〘noun〙① A document in which words are written down to be spoken to the gods. There are those that are like a declaration and those that contain a petition. It is usually written in the style of a declaration of missions. Kobun. *Chuu-u-ki - January 28th, 1091 (5th year of Kanji), "After the Empress was made the Empress, for the first time, there were three offerings made to various shrines, and one chief priest and a fourth-ranked priest, except Yoshida, who was fifth -ranked, was summoned to the Dainaiki and an order was issued to write a yellow notice." ② A document written to swear to the gods and Buddhas or to declare to others that one's words and actions are true. Kobun. Gomon . → Kishomon①. ※Kanmon Gyoki - May 12, 1424 (Oei 31) "The ladies-in-waiting in the palace were all investigated, and about ten guests from the Imperial Court were arrested and sent to the palace to report the incident. In the Ritsu sect, this is a document that has no precedent and is very regrettable ." ④ In the Edo period, a document in which a man and a woman vow to never change their love for each other.
