A scholar from the early Qing Dynasty in China. Born in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. His pen name was Yuan Yi. His pen names were Jian'an and Gyokuho Sensei. He was the nephew of Gu Yanwu. He was appointed as a scholar in the 9th year of the Kangxi era (1670). In the 21st year of the Kangxi era, he was the editor-in-chief of the Ming History, and in the 24th year of the Kangxi era, he was the cabinet scholar, and subsequently served as the Minister of Rites, the Left Chief Censor, and the Minister of Justice. However, he was impeached by his opponents in a party strife, and returned home in the 29th year of the Kangxi era. He was involved in the compilation of the Ming History, the Great Qing Conference Documents, and the Great Qing Unified Records, and is the author of the Kanyuanshu (Collection of the Gardens) (36 volumes) and the Doritsu Tongkao (A Study of Rites) (120 volumes).

中国，清初の学者。江蘇省崑山の人。字は原一。号は健庵，玉峯先生。顧炎武の甥。康煕9 (1670) 年の進士。同 21年『明史』の編集総裁，同 24年内閣学士，次いで礼部侍郎，左都御史，刑部尚書などを歴任。しかし党争で反対派から弾劾され，同 29年帰郷。『明史』『大清会典』『大清一統志』の編纂にたずさわったほか『憺園集』 (36巻) ，『読礼通考』 (120巻) などの著作がある。
