A Japanese-language daily newspaper published in Manchuria, a Japanese colony. It was first published on October 25, 1905, in Dalian, Liaoning Province, just after the Russo-Japanese War. On November 1, 1927, it merged with the Liaodong Shinpo and changed its name to the Manchuria Daily. In August 1935, it merged with another major rival, the Dalian Newspaper (first published May 5, 1920), and changed its name back to the Manchuria Daily Newspaper. On December 1, 1938, the head office was moved to Fengtian (now Shenyang), and the paper published by the Dalian branch was renamed the Dalian Daily Newspaper, continuing until Japan's defeat in the war.
