...There are many ammonite fossils in the upper reaches, and in 1976, the fossil of the large carnivorous reptile Ezomikasaryu (Ten) was also excavated. The artificial lake Katsurazawa Lake is included in the Furano Ashibetsu Prefectural Natural Park, and Katsurazawa Onsen (simple sulfur spring, 13°C) is located on the lakeside. Tourism development is also progressing, with the opening of the tourist farm Sun Farm Mikasa in 1988.
