This is a textbook on how to recite Gidayu-bushi. It is mainly based on the expanded portion of the 1757 (7th Horeki) "Augmented Joruri Hikikokusho," which supplemented the 1748 (1st Kan'en) preface "Joruri Hikikokusho," and includes the following: "Preface, Gidayu-bushi Nemotodayu Review, Takemoto Kadayu Toyotake Yaedayu Review." The main part of the book consists of "Joruri Ongiden, Oral Transmission of Voice, Oral Transmission of Mabayashi and the Same Level, Transmission of Jingji Doyuki, About Birth Characters, About the Middle Tone of Joruri, About Long and Short to Cut, About the Grade of Events in Kotoba, About the Four Tones, About Music and Body Preparation, About the Four Seasons of Bushi."

義太夫節の語り方に関する教本。1748年(寛延1)序の《浄瑠璃秘曲抄》を補足した1757年(宝暦7)の《増補浄瑠璃秘曲抄》の増補部分を主体に，〈序文･義太夫節根元太夫評書･竹本家太夫豊竹八重太夫評判〉を加えている。その主体となる部分は〈浄瑠璃音義伝･声の口伝･間柏子の口伝並ニ程といふ事･景事道行の伝･産字の事･浄るり中音之事･長は継短は切るといふ事･詞に品有事･四音の事･音曲身がまへの事･節の四季の事〉より成る。
