Andrzejewski
Polish novelist born in Warsaw. He wrote many works, including Ashes and Diamonds (1948), which portrayed his wartime experiences and the twisted image of youth, and was later made into a film by director Wajda. He also wrote works that explored themes from the Middle Ages and exposed the contradictions in contemporary Polish society.
