...It is also called honeysuckle wine because of its strong fragrance. Tsukinukinindou L. sempervirens L. (English name: trumpet honeysuckle, coral honeysuckle) is a climbing shrub native to North America that was introduced to Japan in the mid-Meiji period and is planted for decorative purposes. The bases of the opposite leaves are fused together, giving the appearance that the stem is piercing the leaves, hence the name.
