A term used in Husserlian phenomenology to indicate the way in which real spatial objects appear. We can perceive objects because the objects themselves project their colors and forms onto us. However, the self-presentation of an object through projection can always only be one-sided, depending on the perspective at hand. It should be noted that a distinction must be made between the spatial object that is projected and the projection of color and form as non-spatial experiences or sensory data.
