しびり【痺】

[1] 〘名〙＝しびれ（痺）〔天正本節用集（1590）〕※虎明本狂言・痺（室町末‐近世初）「これはしびりがおこって立居さへなりませぬ」[2] 狂言の曲名。各流。太郎冠者が仮病のしびりを口実に主の使いの依頼をことわる。それを見抜いた主が、伯父(おじ)のごちそうに呼ばれたというと、太郎冠者は治ったと言い、主がもう一度用を頼むと、またしびりがおこったとすわりこむ。
