Japanese: 産別会議 - さんべつかいぎ

Abbreviation for All Japan Industrial Trade Union Conference. Also known as Sanbetsu. A national consultative organization formed in 1946 by uniting 21 industrial trade unions (1.63 million members). Based on the basic platform of the World Federation of Trade Unions, it was strongly influenced by the Communist Party. During the period of construction of labor unions after World War II, it worked in opposition to the right-wing General Confederation of Japanese Trade Unions, leading the October struggle in 1946 and the February 1st strike in 1947, but after the right-wing Industrial Democratization League was formed in 1948, it began to decline and was dissolved in 1958.

全日本産業別労働組合会議の略称。産別とも。1946年に21の産業別労働組合（組合員163万）を結集して組織された全国協議体組織。世界労働組合連盟の基本綱領にのっとり，共産党の影響を強く受けた。第２次大戦後の労働組合の建設期には右派の日本労働組合総同盟と対抗して活動，1946年の10月闘争や1947年の二・一ストを指導したが，1948年右派の産別民主化同盟が結成されて以来衰勢に向かい，1958年解散。
