A town in Mie County in the northern part of Mie Prefecture. The town center is the Jin'ya-cho of the Hijikata clan, and is served by the Kintetsu Yunoyama Line. The town is mainly agricultural, but in recent years an industrial complex has been developed and businesses have moved in. The western part is mountainous, part of the Suzuka Mountains, and is home to Mt. Gozaisho and Yunoyama Onsen. Area: 107.01 km2 . Population: 39,978 (2010).
