Born November 7, 1918 in Charlotte, North Carolina [Died] February 21, 2018. Montreat, North Carolina. American evangelist. Full name: William Franklin Graham, Jr.. Commonly known as Billy Graham. He was converted at an evangelistic meeting at the age of 17, and studied at Bob Jones University in Ohio and Florida Bible College. In 1949, as a leader of the "Youth to Christ Movement," he began large-scale mass evangelism around the world using broadcasts, rallies, and literature. By the early 1970s, he is said to have attracted 40 million listeners and converted 1 million people. He founded the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
